In summer of '05, Rabbi Shlomo and Shaindel Hecht and (then) two little boys moved from Brooklyn, N.Y. to establish Chabad at the University of Connecticut.
What a pleasant surprise to wake up to the sounds of the cows and the birds in exchange for the loud music of city life.
Now, over 20 years later, Rabbi, Shaindel and their 6 children are busier than even keeping Jewish Life at UConn vibrant and proud!
